Summer

It´s  so nice to have new lovely pictures to look at after summer :-)
It keeps reminding me of all the great places we have visited during the
summer break. Now I am looking forward to autumn and winter
Where will we go?
What will we do?
And most of all :What will we see?

Norway

Summer for us is often Going North we took the time to log some staches along the way.
A longer text will come when we are back home. Here are some pics from our trip :-)

Ramsjö hembygdsgården

This was a nice Place for a stash, the rain was pouring down when we Went looking for it and the GPS played some tricks on us but we found it. If the wether been nicer er could have stayed longer.

The house is situated near the water and has got a Lovely wiew.

Ramsjö

The history society in Ramsjö was founded in 1947.

The society homestead was moved to this location 1955.

The owner of the house traded the house and got timber for his new one in Exchange.

The farmstead got is name from farmer and fiddler Nagg-Jons.

The story say he had to kill 7 bears in one day to get his loved one.

He got the bears and the girl.

Today there is a museum at the top floor of the house.

Sunny sunny saturday

 Me and the husband took the bikes and went to
a cach where we also were last summer. At that time we were not geocahers so we didn't know there was a stash there.
Now we returned to this nice place to log it.

It was lovely weather and a nice trip. There were some mugglers but not near the stash, so we could easy sign and than we went further down the road.

Some new places

We decided to try to find a Geocache at a montain nearby. This time we took the car and went to the village nearest the stash. First we visited an old roadsign from 1873. At the time our King opened a new road. A big event at the time. Left far from todays road is a stone to mark the event.
Someone took the time to put a stash here. Thank you for that.

After the easy Geocache we went up the hill to take a look at a more interesting stash,
even our four-year-old went up the mountain. When we got to the top the older son found the geocach really quick. There where some nice marks from the latest iceage to explore and we had a nice time before going back down.

One day at the lake

Today we went to a great lake nearby.

It was once formed by a great meteorite swoop a couple of millionär years Ago. It even ha its own Stone called Dellenit. 

First we looked for a find by a small pir by the lake. We had some hotdogs and hot chocolate with marshmallows. After that we visited the camp site a couple of km away and picked another find. Up in a tree this time. 

By the river

Went passed a small soldiers hut from the 15th century, by a river ended up on the beach where we had a fire and som marshmallows 😄 great day indeed 😄

Ski jumping

Today I tock the family out for a search in the wild. We visited the skijumping slope in our town. The cach was published a couple of days ago and I was curious about the location.I hadn't been there since I was a cild myself so I was really looking forward to it. We tock the car and once again I made a note about getting a four-wheel drive car :-(  A jeep would be nice :-) The road was narrow and bumby but we got up the mountain and get out of the car.
When we got closer three young men with phones in their hands hurried up the hill, couldn´t tell properly
but one looked like he had a Gps ;-)
When we arrived they backed away and sat at the top of the slope while we started our climb.
It was kind of steap and there was a lot of rocks but eventually we found the cach under a rock behind two big stones. Clever and could have been hard to find if we hadn't looked at the right place straight away.
After signing we went up the stairs to watch the view.
The weather was perfect. Sunny and hot for April, last year at this time we still had snow.

The boys in the family signed together, the youngest one wrote in his own language but we translated the log so it´s understandable for all. It says "we walked in the forest"

Junk

Yesterday we went to a nearby town to have lunch with friends. On our way home we passed a rusty car outside Motorgårn. This is a place where raggare hang out. Raggare is a Swedish subculture you can read more about the Raggars at Wikipedia. My daughter found it real Quick and we logged and went on our way.

Starting up

I don't know why we started this but somehow the caches just got to us.
After a short presentation in a childrens program on Tv we decíded to get out and find ourselves a
cache. That was 22 March 2014. Not a month ago but still it feals like we have been doing this forever.

We got the introapp for Iphone, thanks for that, without it I am not sure we would have lifted us up from the sofa to get out there ;-) Found a beginners cach nearby and went looking. We couldn't find it....
And it was supposed to be easy.....You bet....
It´s hidden at a special place near our river where people used to change their outfit before taking a swim in the icy water. It has ben abandoned for some time and not in it´s best state. The windows are smashed, the paint is falling off the walls and there are trash all over the place. You could tell by the smell that someone has been doing his or her thing inside...
I brought my kids, they were a bit chicken-hearted at first because of condition of the place but after some time they joined in. But we didn't find it....and went home...

1 week 3 visits and 11 other caches later we finally found the container and logged it :-)
